I am a victim of cyber bullying. I have recently come to find out that someone set up a website to slander me and my family. It is all hurtful lies. I feel like I have been stabbed in the back by somebody, but I have no way of ever finding out who they are. I also do not know how to defend myself. Should I set up a website to counter it? Are there any authorities I can contact?

if a make another site n try to counter it then my point is "What is the differece between you n HIM?".what I think is youmust try to figure out who did that....then you can even go for legal support fromsome layars.Infact publishing somthin personal without permission against him is a crime....i guess you kno wat am speakin of!!!GUDLUCK

Indeed the issue may be over with for Cyber_Bullied_in_07, but I want to say to anyone else needing help that you can indeed find out who owns a domain. www.whois.net will give you quite a bit of information on a URL such as the owner, how long it has been up, contact phone numbers and email, and many other things. I know there are better websites out there that will give you more. Try the site and also Google "who owns a URL" and look at the various results. Cyber bullying is a scary thing because people do not think they have to answer for what they say or do online. Anyone needing help has many places to turn for help. I have several blogs, but am starting another one anonymously as a sort of fresh start. It is an open topic blog about "pushing life" in other words, being passionate about living your life. I will be doing a piece on Cyber Bullying in a month or so, which is very relevant to enjoying your life, after the research is complete. I will be in touch with this blog, maybe you can do a feature piece. As of now there is only an introduction up there, but content is coming.
